 The cod quota for the next fishing year will be 150 thousand tons, according to the decision of Jón Bjarnason minister of fishing and agriculture about the permissible fishing quota for the fishing year of 2009-2010. That is 10 thousand tons less than is permissible this fishing year. The haddock quota will be severly reduced, it will go from being 93 thousand tons to 63 thousand tons. News Article by noname
