 One of the most known criminals in Brazil is now in custody in Iceland after he was arrested with a fake passport at Keflavik airport yesterday according to the website of Visir. Hosmany Ramos who is a plastic surgeon is wanted in Brazil and is said to have a long criminal record. Neither the police in Reykjanes nor the district court of Reykjaness wanted to confirm the news when the Morgunbladid looked for a confirmation. There is written at Visir that Ramos had been one of the most respected plastic surgeon in Rio de Janeiro in the 70s but also been a great criminal. He had smuggled drugs between countries, run criminal groups that robbed the rich people Ramos spoke of as his friends. In 1981 had Hosmany been ruled to 21 years in prison for stealing an airplane, smuggling cars and for killing his private pilot. In 1996 had he been cought after one month on the run. During the run had he participated in a kidnapping and received 30 years in jail in addition to his earlier conviction. In December last year had Ramos been allowed to go home for the Christmas and New Years and was supposed to return in January. He had on the other hand not intended to do so until the accomodation in the jails would be improved. But now is Ramos in captivity in Iceland.
