Jóhanna Sigurðardóttir congratulated the nation for the stability agreement but the ceremony of the signing of the agreement was held in the Culture House.

 'This is a very important milestone and a crucial premise for the restorations of the coming months.' Jóhanna thanked everyone that has been involved. 

 Eiríkur Jónsson

, president of the Teachers union, said that he had high hopes for the agreement. Its value would though not be appreciated until after it has taken effect. 

 'All this work is aiming towarsd increasing of capital goods again and thereby encourage increased employmen' Sad Vilhjálmur Egilsson, ceo of the SA. Vilhjálmur also restated his focus on the key factor of revoking currency restrictions and lowering interest rates. 

'We will now all team upp so that the disasterous predictions that have been foretold will not have to come true.  That is the real challenge.'
