Novator still has it's share in Actavis in a sales process, Novator is by far the biggest owner in the company. According to sources of Morgunblaðið they have received no satisfactory offer for the shares.

Big investers in the market, like international drug companys, have held back and therefore mergers and takeovers are fewer.  The takeover of Actavis by Novator in 2007 was almost entirely financed with loans from the Deutsche Bank.
