Sparisjodurinn goes into moratorium  E-mail

Sparisjodurinn (savings bank) of Iceland has received an authorization of a moratorium for 12 weeks according to the ruling of the district court of Reykjavik which was ruled today. The board of the bank has hired Tomas Jonsson supreme court attorney to tend to the position of the assistant of the bank while the moratorium is valid.

The request of a moratorium was set forward by the board of the savings bank following the decision of the FSA from March 21 set forward to the bank to request the moratorium for the bank.
