 The moratorium of Sparisjodur Myrarsyslu (SPM) was prolonged till June 30th. The purpose of the moratorium is to prepare emergency contracts with the lenders based on the agreement with the main lenders of the fund as says in the announcement.
The supervisor in the moratorium is Sigurdur Arnalds supreme court lawyer.

 The FSA decided on Thursday to suspend the company management of the Sparisjodsbanki Islands hf in whole from their work and set a liquidating committee in stead which will take over all authorizations of the former board according to the law nr. 125/2008 about special sircumstances on the financial market.

 The time limit to send in the offers for larger units and assets of SPRON expires at four pm today. Hlynur Jonsson, chairman of the liquidating committee says that then it should be clear of how many offers were for the certain units.
Over ten individuals declared earlier this week interest in making an offer in these assets, as the Netbank, stocks services, SPRON factoring and branches. Hlynur said that some hundreds of e-mails had been received with inquiries and will statements of participations. After four pm it shall be clear of how many followed the interest up with an offer.

 The financial ministry has received requests from 6 savings banks where they request government contribution. It says in the announcement that all operations of SPRON and the savings banks are heading to be moved to other financial institutions it may be expected that the problems on the Icelandic financial market is about to end.
"According to regulations issued on December 17th 2008 about contributions of the government to saving banks has the financial ministry now received the applications of Sparisjodur Nordfjardar, Sparisjodur Keflavikur, Sparisjodur Vestmannaeyja, Sparisjodur Svarfdaela, Sparisjodur Bolungarvikur and Byr Sparisjodur.
