 New Kaupthing bank will change its name tomorrow into Arion bank. The bank says that the new name is brought from Greek ancient histories and refers to amongst other for perseverance, co-operation and comeback. There was a competition about the new name amongst the employees of the bank and the name was chosen out from close to three hundred suggestions. In theannouncement from the bank says that the new name brings a new policy and values. The guiding light of the bank is professionalism, progress, care and loyalty where the customer is the foreground. With the new emhasis are the demands of the clients and employees about changes being answered following the reorganizing of the bank. New name will also prevent any misunderstanding in the general discussions and amongst domestic and foreign business associates. Finnur Sveinbjornsson, bank governor, says in the announcement that the new name, policy and value mark a new beguinning for the bank. "We are in a certain way parting with the old and going to deal with the challanges that are now in the community with full force. The goal is to build up a solid, powerful bank which works with and for the people of the country." The expenses because of the changes will be kept in minimum and the look of the branches will be changed in the following weeks and the renewal of the marketing material will be worked as the older supplies run out.
