 The expenses of the liquidating committees and the evaluation of the position and assets of the banks since October last year are going to be close to a billion krona on April 1st says Alfheidur Ingadottir, chairman of the trade committee of Althing. There is a suggestion that it should not fall on the national treasury but should be treated like liquidating expenses, that is, it would be paid from the estate itself. After the validation, if the bill will be turned into law, will the expense so stop falling on the national trasury and should be paid out of the bankrupt estate of the old banks.
