Should I be afraid? The pig/bird flu outbreak ..
I just heard that there are a few cases in Canada, and now Scotland. What are the chances of getting this? I am not very isolated, but still, quite. I´m not around many tourists, but if this comes out here, how fast does this spread?
I have not had any flu shots or anything like that, and i´m prone to get ill as the regular readers here know, and damn .. what to do if this comes out my way as well? This is scary .. extremely. Do not misunderstand me, i´m not on the verge of having a nervous breakdown because of this, it is on the hand something that I feel I should be aware of.
I know very few of you have any answers to any of these questions, and frankly I do not expect any answers at all. I need to do some internet research.
On another note, I did wake up at 11am, even after falling asleep around 6am. Feel pretty good, I know that there are changes around the corner for Iceland, none of which will save anything but hopefully positive changes. I am worried that the possible complete collapse of the economy will be a reality, I am worried where I will end up, and I worry way too much.
I am trying to get my mind set for the gardening, but my back is still really sore and stiff. Hopefully that will change with patience and care as soon as possible.
The weather outside is pretty good, I am thinking about taking a walk and breathe in all the fresh air that is available to me right outside my front door, i´m not going to translate any news today - it´s Sunday, and some weeks ago I set the rule of not working on Sundays, but try to relax, which I am going to try my best in honoring.
Also, after the extremely long night, I think I deserve to enjoy a little bit of the nice weather outside. There is no wind at all, sunny outside even though it is 5.49pm, not quite t-shirt weather but close.
In only a couple of weeks the sun will stop setting, and I will have 24 hours of sunlight pretty much. I can not wait, it will give me increased energy and higher spirits (I hope).
